How to stick to a workout routine

Sticking to a workout routine can be challenging… work, family and social lives can easily get in the way. So much so that it’s often said that the hardest part of a workout is just turning up or getting started!

Be kind to yourself if you are starting out, and follow these simple tips to help keep you accountable so you can stick to a routine:

  1. Set realistic goals: Be specific about what you want to achieve and set realistic goals for yourself. Make sure to check in on these from time to time to track your progress.

  2. Create a routine: Set aside specific times each day or week for your workouts and treat them as a priority in your schedule.

  3. Find accountability: Grab a workout partner and join us for a class at Feel Good Pilates to help you stay accountable and motivated.

  4. Mix up your routine: Avoid boredom and keep your workouts interesting by incorporating a variety of exercises and activities.

  5. Track your progress: Keep track of your progress by taking measurements, keeping a workout journal, or using a fitness tracking app.

  6. Reward yourself: Celebrate your successes and milestones by rewarding yourself with something you enjoy.

  7. Be flexible: Don't beat yourself up if you miss a class or have to adjust your schedule. Life happens, so be flexible and adjust your plan as needed. We have plenty of classes on the schedule each week that you can join!

By implementing these tips, you can improve your ability to stick to a workout routine on the regular. Now that’s something to feel good about!
